President Alberto Fernandez said this Saturday in Luján that the Argentina “needs to end disagreements and recover peace” as well as “to end drug trafficking and work for the fallen” for this problem, while he highlighted the figure of Pope Francis as “the greatest moral and ethical leader the world has”on the 10th anniversary of his pontificate next Monday.

“The 40 years of democracy commit us, they force us to be part. Argentina needs to end the disagreements and recover peace. It is necessary to end the grievances, the insults, the high-sounding voices so that we can listen and speak to each other again. End drug trafficking and help the fallen,” said the President in his speech.

Also transmitted a Message from Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner -who signed the pledge during the week in his Senate office – in which he stated that he warned that “addiction is a drama and a social tragedy” and highlighted the importance of the State “recovering the territory” in areas like Rosario and others in the country, affected by drug-trafficking violence.

“Recovering the territory is not a military concept, but rather recovering the role of the State in those vulnerable places,” said the Vice President in her message, after this week the national government sent a reinforcement of federal forces to Rosario and it will be announced that troops of the Army Engineers Company will participate in the urbanization of popular neighborhoods.

“It is a moral imperative to be here today”said the President after signing the commitment and stressed that both the work of the Pope and that of the priests of the villas “reconcile him day by day” with the Church.

The campaign proposes the elaboration of public policies that serve all the people who are consuming in their own neighborhoods.
