Matthias Lammensparticipated this Thursday in the second day of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCESDE), which takes place in Santiago del Estero, an event that brings together experts from around the world to talk about the challenges of sustainable urban transformation.

In this context, he stressed that “meeting tourism has a huge impact on the local economy, due to the number of visitors it receives and the movement it generates.”
Likewise, the minister assured that “Santiago del Estero is a success story in the development of tourism in Argentina”, for which he congratulated the local governor, Gerardo Zamora, for his commitment to bring and develop an international event such as the Expo Smart City .
The politician also emphasized that after the pandemic, “Argentina is the country that recovered the fastest” in the region and that this year all tourist destinations “had a sustained level of occupancy.”
