President Alberto Fernandez expressed this Friday his “greatest repudiation” of the assassination of the former prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abeand sent his condolences to the loved ones of the victim.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry expressed – through its official Twitter account: “Argentina expresses its most sincere condolences to the government of Japan and the family of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who died after being the victim of a weapon attack of fire. We accompany the people of Japan in this difficult moment”.
After the news was known, several countries spread their condolences and condemnations for the event, including the US, Russia, China and the European Union.
It was with utter shock that I learned of the assassination of Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan.

On the other hand, from the opposition, there were also messages repudiating the assassination.
Former President Mauricio Macri wrote on his social network account: “I am dismayed by the assassination of Shinzo Abe, former Prime Minister of Japan. He was a great man, a great friend of Argentina and an excellent leader. What madness so much violence” .
Similarly, from the same political space, the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, stated on the networks that he was “deeply shocked by the assassination of the former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.”

“Violence takes the life of a leader respected throughout the world and a great friend of Argentina,” added the mayor of Buenos Aires, and sent his “condolences to the Japanese people at this sad moment.”
The murder unleashed shock, perplexity and multiple reactions of world leaders and politicians.
Abbe, 67, he died this friday because of the firearm shot he received during a campaign event in the city of Nara, in the center-east of the Asian country.
Born in Tokyo, he was Prime Minister of Japan from December 2012 to September 2020.
