Minister Pablo Quirno pointed out that the authorities of his country are closely following the case of its citizens detained in Venezuela.
The Argentine government demanded the immediate release of its citizens Nahuel Gallo and Germán Giuliani, arbitrarily imprisoned in Venezuela.

“The Argentine Government once again demands from the Venezuelan regime the immediate release of Nahuel Gallo and Germán Giuliani, who continue to be illegally detained, as well as all those deprived of their liberty.”
The minister pointed out that the authorities of his country have maintained permanent contact with Rivara, who had been arbitrarily imprisoned since January 1, 2025, as well as with his entourage, since his release.

«Today he appeared at the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Colombia, where he was provided with the necessary assistance and the corresponding personal documentation was issued. The Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring his situation, like that of all our illegitimately detained citizens, and is available to continue accompanying him,” he explained.
Nahuel Gallo was detained on December 8, 2024 at the immigration headquarters in San Antonio del Táchira, when he was on his way to visit his wife and son, under the pretext of an interview with the immigration police.
Germán Giuliani was arrested in May of last year in Caracas. He is accused by the Venezuelan authorities of crimes such as “terrorism, drug trafficking and mercenarism” and, as far as is known, remains housed in the Yare II Penitentiary Center.
