Between December 15, 2021 and January 2, 2022, 123,127 foreign nationals entered the country, of which the majority are Argentines and Argentines.
According to the National Director of Tourism, Roque Baudean, based on data from the Department of Statistics of the National Directorate of Migration, 64% were tourists of Argentine nationality, totaling 78,884, while the second outbound destination to Uruguay is Brazil, whose nationals added 18% of the total, or 22,088 people.
In third place is Paraguay, from where 4,635 people arrived and then the United States, which sent 4,180 tourists here.
It is followed by Spain with 2% (1,991 people) and a group of other nationalities that totaled the shelf 9% (11,349).
