The National Ministry of Health reported today that Argentina reached 9,059,944 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemicwith the addition of 593 new infections in the last 24 hours.
In addition, the total rate of deaths from coronavirus rose, this Friday, to 128,327 victims, this after the confirmation of 21 new deaths throughout the country. Of the total daily deaths by the virus11 correspond to women and 10 to men, all in the Province of Buenos Aires.
On the last day, 10,918 diagnostic tests for coronavirushence the positivity rate in Argentina stood at 7.2%below the 10% recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Currently, the number of patients with active cases of virus in the country, it is 37,437, of which 412 are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU). This places the hospital occupancy rate at 37.2% at the national level and at 37.4% in the AMBA.
On this occasion, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, Salta, San Juan and Santiago del Estero were the only jurisdictions in the country that did not report new cases of coronavirus; while in the City of Buenos Aires (226), the Province of Buenos Aires (164) and Misiones (126) the highest incidence was accumulated with more than 100 cases.
For its part, in the rest of the country, today’s infections did not exceed twenty cases. They are followed in the list by: Catamarca (16), Tucumán (11), Córdoba (10), Neuquén (9), Tierra del Fuego (7), La Pampa (5), Mendoza (4), Río Negro (3), San Luis (3), Santa Cruz (3), Formosa (2), Chaco (1), Chubut (1), La Rioja (1) and Santa Fe (1).
