What is the objective of CELAC
Since its foundation in December 2011, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States has fulfilled its commitment to advance in the gradual process of integration of the region based on the search for a balance between the unity and diversity of the Caribbean and Latin America.
In this sense, each year they tried to propose and deepen the dialogue between all the member nations on specific and important issues such as social development, education, culture, finance, energy, agriculture, nuclear disarmament and also the environment.
“We uphold the importance of Celac as a mechanism that does not exclude anyone, where all voices are taken into account and that has to continue like this because it is part of its spirit,” said Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero in dialogue with Telam.
