The Argentine national team began to prepare for the final of the America Cup in Miami, where they will face Colombia on Sunday, without the defender Gustavo Montielwho did not participate in practice on the Florida International University (FIU) court.
Lionel Scaloni’s team arrived in Miami on Wednesday afternoon, after completing a final training session at the New York Red Bulls training center and this afternoon they trained at FIU, where they also prepared for the match they played on June 29 against Peru, in the third round of Group A.
Right back Gustavo Montiel, who started against Canada in the quarter-finals and was expected to start in the final after his good performance on Saturday, in containing the two most incisive Canadian players, Alphonso Davies and Jacob Shaffelburg, was not present during the 15 minutes open to the press. The defender could have muscle fatigue, so it is not ruled out.
