The Arequipa region will have a renewable energy industrial park, for which an area of 16 thousand hectares has been set aside. This construction seeks to lead the change in the energy matrix in the country and would be carried out with private investment to promote the generation of clean energy.

“Complementary to this, in Arequipa we have been implementing the largest green hydrogen plant in South America with an investment of US$ 2.5 billion. Which will also allow us to provide green hydrogen and all this renewable energy to the mining industry.”he pointed out.
Another of the projects that Arequipa has in progress is the first Metallurgical Mining Park of 400 hectares in the Chapara district, in Caravelí. “It will also allow us to address the issue of modernization and solve the problems surrounding gold extraction that occurs under illegal or informal modalities.”, he noted.
