School modules

“We ask for support with school modules to prevent our students from studying in very damaged structures”he expressed in an interview for the digital media RCR Regional Communication Network.

The mayor’s request is not in line with the official information shared by the COER, an entity that ruled out that the damage to the schools warrants suspension of educational work. That is to saystudents continue to receive classes today, despite the damage.

The municipal authority also requested the provision of housing modules for the population whose houses were affected.

So far, it is known seven homes in Chala, that have some cracks. For this reason, specialists evaluate whether the spaces are suitable for habitation. In addition, they must issue a report if the damage occurred due to the last earthquake or the houses were already in situation before. The mayor also reported damage to homes in sectors of Lomas and Huanuhuanu.

It should be noted that due to the earthquakes, earth and stones fell on some roads, such as the entrance to the Lomas district, also on the alternate road of the Jaqui district and on the Tocota – Mollehuaca road in Huanuhuanu. The contingency was attended to by the area authorities, who carried out the corresponding cleaning, so vehicle traffic is carried out normally.
