Arequipa LGTBIQ+ community marches today

The traditional march of the LGTBIQ+ community seeks to raise the voice of protest, eliminate discrimination and demand that the Peruvian State respect their rights as citizens.

The tour will start from 3 in the afternoon in the Plaza Mayta Capac in the district of Miraflores with an informative talk to then begin with the colorful parade.

The march will begin in Miraflores, will travel through the avenues Union, Progress, Espinar, Marshal Castilla; then they will go through the streets Muñoz Najar, La Paz, Siglo XX, San José, Peral, Santo Domingo; to then enter the Plaza de Armas and finish in Plaza España.

the network manager LGTB Arequipa, Mauricio Gutiérrez Suarez, explained that for this year 2022, they will seek to promote sex education in the country, as well as raise awareness and make visible the importance of their community to eradicate discrimination.
