For the fifth consecutive day, the search continues for the tourist of Belgian nationality, Natasha Crombrugghe (28), missing since January 23 after traveling to the Arequipa region to visit the Colca Valley, located in the province of Caylloma.
According to RPP Noticias, this Tuesday the dog Wally, a dog trained to find people, who has reached the route that goes to the Huaruro waterfall for the errands, has joined the search group.
Wally’s trainer has brought clothes that the Belgian tourist left forgotten at the La Estancia hotel where she last stayed on January 23. According to the aforementioned medium, the instructor has made the dog smell the young woman’s clothes in order to track her down.
Nearly 15 police officers from the high mountain unit and agents from the Cabanaconde police station have begun the search for one of the possible routes that the young woman would have taken in her attempt to travel through the lower part of the Colca canyon.
In addition, today a drone is also being put into operation that will allow aerial photographs to be taken and in this way, specialists will analyze them in order to have a more exact range of location in the search for the young woman.
HIS PARENTS JOIN THE SEARCH
The parents and brother of Natacha de Crombrugghe arrived in the aforementioned city of Arequipa to join the search efforts in the Sangalle Valley.
They are accompanied by a representative from the Belgian Embassy who will support them with the translation.
