Mechanic Néstor Sarmiento P. received 9 months of preventive detention for being alleged co-author of qualified homicide to the detriment of Daril Gonzales Cárdenas. The measure was obtained by the First Corporate Criminal Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Arequipa (Third Office).
According to the investigation, the The aggrieved man was the owner of a motorcycle that he handed over to Néstor Sarmiento in his workshop located on Av. Ecological Villa MZ D, lot 1 of the district of Alto Selva Alegre (ASA), a year ago. Then, Daril made the payment, leaving the sum of S/50 and the return of the linear unit pending. However; The investigated person would have sold the motorcycle.
BEATS AND CONCEALMENT OF THE BODY
It is so that the December 13 of this year, Daril went to Néstor’s workshop, at ASA, to pick up the motorcycle that he had been asked to fix. However, he was transferred by the accused with deception to the vicinity of the Cerro Verde highway, where along with another person, they hit him in various parts of the body until causing death.
Later, the body was transferred to “Las Lomas de Jesús” from the district of Punta de Bombón, province of Islay, where they abandoned him so that he would not be found.
Given this, the The Prosecutor’s Office obtained the preliminary arrest of Néstor Sarmiento P.on December 17, 2025. Then, he provided information regarding the place where he hid the victim’s body.
For this reason, preventive detention was ordered, measure that will allow the proceedings to end and establish responsibility for the crime committed.
