Are there classes on Friday, September 27?

No, according to the official calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), on Friday, September 27, there will be no classes for preschool, primary and secondary school students because it is intended to dedicate it to School Technical Council.

The official basic education calendar consists of 190 days.

What are the School Technical Councils?

The SEP establishes that it is the collegiate body with the highest technical and pedagogical decision-making power in each basic education school, that is, at the preschool, primary and secondary levels. This council is in charge of making and executing decisions focused on achieving the maximum learning achievement of children and adolescents.

These meetings, which are held regularly on the last Friday of each month, are attended by Physical Education, Special Education, English, Computing and Technical Advisor teachers from each public educational institution, in which they address the teaching and learning processes to analyze and make decisions that benefit the educational development of the students.

Other days of suspension of classes

The calendar includes 190 effective days of class, eight regular sessions of the CTE and seven days of suspension of teaching work:

September 16th.

November 18, 2024.

February 3, 2025.

March 17, 2025.

May 1, 2025.

May 5, 2025.

May 15, 2025.
