Arce works on the government plan for 2025-2030 without being a pre-candidate

The Vice Minister of Communication, Gabriela Alcón, said that President Luis Arce is not yet a pre-candidate for the presidential elections of August 2025. because first he will work on the Government plan with which the MAS will go out in search of the vote.

“The first thing is that here we need to work on a participatory 25-30 government program,” he stressed.

“The most important thing is the government program that is going to be presented, where all sectors participate,” Alcón explained to journalists. “The next step will be to decide the candidacies within a framework of unity of the left and the various sectors of the country,” said the vice minister.

Arce leads the MAS faction that kept the party’s acronym, because former President Evo Morales already proclaimed himself as a candidate for the Presidency, although he was disqualified by the Constitutional Court. Furthermore, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IAC Court) declared that presidential re-election is not a human right.

Morales governed between 2006 and 2019; This last year he ran to be re-elected for a fourth term despite the constitutional limit which only recognizes a re-election and the result of the referendum of February 21, 2016 (21F) that denied him that nomination.

The vice minister also questioned the opposition candidates, whom she accused of not having clear proposals and of limiting themselves to criticism. or to resume economic policies dependent on international organizations.

“You have to ask them what the proposal is, what the alternative is that they have. Because I only see criticism or simply ideas that hand over natural resources or extend their hand to the IMF. We already know that recipe,” he said.

During a public event held on December 18 to celebrate the first electoral victory of the MAS, Arce assured that The left is the one that managed the economy best.

“We are going to be, as MAS-IPSP, the only left-wing alternative in these elections. We are going to be the only ones who are going to confront the neoliberals (..) We have to start the construction and writing of a government program to become a government again 2025-2030. We have to open ourselves to dialogue with everyone,” Arce stated in an electoral tone.
