The president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, will not attend the inauguration of the elected president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. In Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa will attend in her place.

This determination was made after Arce has been invited to the investiture ceremony of the first president of Mexico, as reported by the Minister of the Presidency, María Nela Prada.

“To the official acts of transmission of command in the brother country of Mexico our chancellor Celinda Sosa will attend, representing our country,” explained Prada.

Arce will not travel to Mexico because assumed command of the cooperation efforts international for the declaration of national disaster due to the forest fires, which was approved this Monday.

Last week, Foreign Minister Sosa participated in the 79th Period of Sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, precisely representing President Arce, who could not travel to the world forum that brings together heads of state once a year.

Claudia Sheinbaum, preceded by 65 men, The former head of government of Mexico City will become the first woman to assume the presidency of Mexico this Tuesday.

This is a fact that will happen after 71 years since women in Mexico achieved their right to vote and after 42 years since Rosario Ibarra was a candidate to occupy the presidency by the Revolutionary Workers Party (PRT), international media report.
