Arce eliminated the columns of honor in military acts and shortens times

The management of President Luis Arce in the military acts was not only characterized by having eliminated the Cuban harangue of “homeland or death”, but the other hallmark that characterizes the president is that he suppressed the columns of honor that his predecessor used toEvo Morales.

This Tuesday it was the “delivery of sabers, swords and pistols to the junior officers and sergeants graduated from the 2021 promotions of the different military institutes of the State Armed Forces”. The act was organized at the Army General Staff, which was attended by the Head of State and his presence was brief.

But the act lasted less than 25 minutes Between the arrival of the president and its conclusion, only the Minister of Defense and the president spoke. Luis Arce’s speech lasted eight minutes in which he recommended that the troops respect the constitutional government, “this generation of officers at the same time cannot repeat the mistakes of their predecessors,” he told them.

During the mandate of Evo Moralesall the police or military acts concluded with a column of honor prepared by the institutions and in all the acts, the former president launched his harangue, “fatherland or death”.

Now Arce decided his elimination. On December 7, 2020, shortly after assuming command of the nation, the president attended the first act prepared by the military in La Paz, on that occasion, when everyone expected the same harangue from Morales, Arce only limited himself to greeting and give a short message.

This Tuesday the tonic was the same, a greeting, a brief message of respect to the legally constituted Government and farewell, there are no columns of honor; except on August 7, 2021, when he attended the anniversary of the Armed Forces in Sucre.
