President Luis Arce He publicly acknowledged this Saturday that he faces “a problem” in the Chamber of Deputies with some legislators from the ruling Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) party.
In an act held in Caranavi, where he delivered and announced works, Arce said that his government has “the full will” to continue executing projects and that for that it creates conditions by managing financing with international organizations.
In fact, “the Ministry of Planning is permanently monitoring this until it is published and approved, (later) we send it to the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, (but) there we face, and we want to be honest, a problem in our Chamber of Deputies with some of our deputies of the Movement Towards Socialism”, he pointed out.
One of those “problems” that Arce faced was when the approval of the gold law was delayed, mainly during its treatment in the Chamber of Deputies in the midst of the persistent division of the MAS into different factions.
Other bills promoted by the Government run a similar fate that, since the division in the MAS, are no longer approved with agility.
That’s why, “We want to urge from Caranavi (…) those deputies of the political instrument that can approve these norms, that can make these norms viable because (…) it is a request of the Bolivian people, not of the central government,” Arce added.
Well, according to President Arce, there are urgent needs, like the people of Caranavi, to continue carrying out works.
Also he said that his government continues to advance “despite all the difficulties you faceboth of the international conflict as well as the internal destabilization attempts”.
