According to the report with partial data from Arbovirosis Surveillance, there is a slight decrease in notifications compared to the previous week, and the average number of notifications in the last three weeks is 122.
He points out that so far this year, there have been 4,108 notifications of dengue throughout the national territory, of these, 161 are cases of the disease, distributed in thirteen regions. The highest percentage of notifications accumulated at the country level comes from Central, Asunción and Caaguazú. However, in recent weeks, the departments with the most notifications are Central and Canindeyú.
It also states that in this last week, an increase in notifications was identified in Paraguarí, according to partial data. The circulating serotypes in the national territory: DEN-1 in Itapúa, Amambay, Canindeyú and Boquerón; DEN-2 in Guaira; and co-circulation of both serotypes in Asunción and the departments of Caaguazú and Central.
On the other hand, it states that Misiones and Alto Paraguay are the only departments that record a cut in viral circulation.
Regarding chikungunya, it maintains that there are 357 notifications of suspected virus and 96 are cases of chikungunya, 71% are concentrated in the Central department (Mariano Roque Alonso, Limpio, San Lorenzo and Fdo. de la Mora), 2 in Asuncion and 1 in Paraguarí.
Finally, it indicates that in the last three weeks, the average notification of chikungunya in the country is 45. In this last week, an increase in notifications was observed in Asunción, Central and Canindeyú.
