PEDERNALES.- The high pressure line of the aqueduct recently inaugurated by President Luis Abinader suffered a rupture near the landfill, leaving the tourist city under construction in Cabo Rojo without water supply.
The pipe, made of PVC with a diameter of 20 inches and a thickness of about one inch, broke just a week after its inauguration. Although the tourist area of Cabo Rojo is still in the construction phase of hotels, it is currently without drinking water.

However, the water extracted from the subsoil has a modern and advanced treatment plant, which, although it has not yet been officially inaugurated, already provides service to more than two thousand workers in hotel construction and the cruise ship dock.
