Apurímac: Ministry of Transportation will build three bridges in Challhuahuacho

Within the framework of the conversations with the Challhuahuacho communities, who have presented different demands regarding the use of the Southern Mining Corridor, the Ministry of Transport and Communications announced that it will build three bridges in the Challhuahuacho district.

This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Nicolás Bustamante. “The budget for the construction of the bridges is assured. We can deliver the budget certification for the bridges,” Bustamante told the representatives of the Challhuahuacho communities, which belong to the province of Cotabambas.

During the meeting with the communities, it was explained that the MTC is preparing three technical files for the Challa Challa (33 meters), Ccarhuapirhua (51 meters) and Chicñahui (29 meters) bridges. Works are scheduled to start in the last quarter of 2022.

The representatives of the Executive held meetings with the leaders of Challhuahuacho in the auditorium of the Agency for Environmental Assessment and Control (OEFA), located in Jesús María. The meetings reported on the progress of the different sectors in relation to the demands of the residents of Challhuahuacho.
