Heart-stopping ending in the internal elections of the star’s party to define its presidential candidate. After having led a large part of the process in the APRA, Enrique Valderrama see how the candidate Javier Velasquez Quesquén has closed distances. With 97% of the minutes processed, Valderrama’s list 7 gathers 3,522 votes, while Velásquez Quesquén’s option 13 accumulates 3,395. With just over a hundred votes difference between the two, the final result is not yet defined.
While Valderrama is accompanied by Maria Valdivia and Lucio VasquezVelásquez Quesquén does it together with Luis Wilson and Carla Garciathis last daughter of the former APRA president Alan Garcia and presented as the first vice president on his list. García assured that his plan is “plural” and seeks the APRA return to the national political scene: “It represents the entire country and guarantees the Aprista Party one hundred more years of presence within the country’s political forces,” he stated.

Valderramafor its part, has not spoken so far. The 37-year-old lawyer has been seen as a political analyst on various national news programs. If the results remain 100%, Valderrama would be the presidential candidate of the APRA party.
After Valderrama and Velasquez Quesquenthe candidates also appear in the final box of the vote Jorge del Castillo and Hernán Garrido Lecca. Both, who led lists 3 and 2, have obtained 2,985 and 2,174 votes, respectively.
