This Thursday, September 17, in the National Assembly, the draft agreement in support of the installation of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace was presented in the first discussion, which was approved by a qualified majority with the customary signal.
The first vice president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante, expressed during his speech that the project presented aims to unite Venezuelans based on preserving the peace of the nation in a great national consensus.
He explained that 95% of the population repudiates the threats of aggression by the US against the Venezuelan nation.
He indicated that peace is one of the broader consensus of Venezuela and therefore is the most precious good that everyone is willing to preserve.
Infante, invoked article 130 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where each Venezuelan has to defend and honor the homeland, together with its cultural symbols and values.
In this regard, he mentioned that the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace has already been installed, so they will now work for the construction of regional chapters, with the aim of carrying out a “national crusade” for the defense of sovereignty.
