This Tuesday during the ordinary session of the National Assembly (AN) the Law that Regulates the Use of the Name, Titles and Effigy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar was unanimously approved.
The Federal Legislative Palace approved the Law that has 11 articles, a derogatory provision and a final one, and proposes to declare the name, titles and effigy of The Liberator Simon Bolivar as material and immaterial historical heritage of the nation, it also indicates the duty of every citizen to exalt and honor the Venezuelan hero.
In addition, it is mandatory to place on the effigy or image of El Libertador a brief inscription with his name, signature and title in each of the areas of public view.
The intention is to prevent the memory of the Father of the Nation from being disrespected, as happened on January 5, 2016 when the right wing took Bolívar’s image out of the National Parliament, sanctions will be established, it was expressed from the Assembly.
