The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) approved the request for the third modification of the authorization to develop the activity of electricity generation in the facilities of the “Central Térmica Planta Malvinas” owned by Pluspetrol.
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 409-2022-Minem/DMthe purpose of the provision is to increase the installed power from 28,000 kW to 32,000 kW, due to the installation of the 4,000 kW turbogenerator No. 8.
Likewise, Pluspetrol is obliged to operate in compliance with technical and safety standards, preserving the environment and safeguarding the Cultural Heritage of the Nation, as well as complying with the obligations established in Decree Law No. 25844, Electricity Concessions Law, its Regulations approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-93-EM, and other relevant legal regulations.

Failure to comply with what is indicated in the preceding article will be monitored by the competent entities, in accordance with current regulations, in order to determine the corresponding actions.
Finally, the publication of this text in El Peruano is provided for only once and at the owner’s expense within five business days following its issuance.
The resolution will be effective from the day after its publication, in compliance with the provisions of Article 67 of the Regulations of the Electricity Concessions Law, approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-93-EM.
