The deputies of the National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved the Draft Agreement to Congratulate the V Games of ALBA and Greetings to the sports delegations of the 11 countries that have arrived in Venezuela as an expression of integration, respect and cooperation of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
From the national Parliament, the president of the Legislative Power, deputy Jorge Rodriguezgreeted the special guests, such as the Vice Minister of Sports and High Performance, Juan Amaranteand the Venezuelan athletes of the different sports disciplines.
Likewise, the representative of the Great Patriotic Pole, Arnaldo Sánchez, before presenting the project, congratulated the outstanding participation of the Venezuelan athlete, Yulimar Rojas, who has been recognized as the best Ibero-American athlete for the second time.
“Our Venezuelan athletes continue to grow and continue to carry the name of Venezuela to the top of the podium in the world,” he said.
On the agenda, the parliamentarian indicated that the Bolivarian nation dresses up from April 21 to 29 of this year with the V ALBA Gameswhere more than 2,400 athletes from the region will participate, and will be attended by judges, referees, technical officials and volunteers.
“Today we want to greet Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Russia and Venezuela, the host country that will have a delegation of 1,116 young men and women, athletes, coaches, judges who They will represent us,” said the legislator.
In relation to the international sports fair, he stated that these games constitute a historical milestone for the country and the world, since its objective is to strengthen union and ties between all the brother countries.
“We tell all these ALBA countries that our National Assembly is once again committed to promoting the unity of the peoples of our America,” concluded Deputy Sánchez.
