Minister André Mendonça, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), scheduled a meeting, this Friday afternoon (13), with delegates from the Federal Police (PF) who are leading the investigations involving Banco Master.
Mendonça intends to learn about the progress of the investigations after becoming rapporteur for the investigation investigating fraud at the bank, which was liquidated by the Central Bank.
The choice of André Mendonça to lead the investigations was made this Thursday (12) after Dias Toffoli asks to leave the rapporteurship of the case.
The decision was taken during a meeting in which the Court’s ministers were informed that there are mentions of Toffoli in messages found on the cell phone of banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Master, whose device was seized during a search and seizure.
When asking to leave the case, Toffoli was not considered a suspect to report the process, and the decisions already made were preserved.
From now on, the next steps of the investigation will be led by Mendonça, also rapporteur of the investigation that deals with undue discounts on association fees in the benefits of retirees and pensioners from the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
