Appoint former Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar, as new ambassador to Uruguay

The former Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar was appointed as Panama’s ambassador to Uruguay, as he himself announced through his social networks, yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

This appointment is given despite the rejection of artistic sectors, for his management in front of the Ministry of Culture until February of this year, in the midst of changes by President Laurentino Cortizo in his cabinet.

Aguilar thanked the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, for the distinction of serving the country from abroad and the Foreign Relations Commission of the National Assembly, for welcoming his work plan, which he indicated includes, among other issues, education , agribusiness, science and technology, and cultural and creative industries.
