Applications are open until the 28th of February for the Permanence Scholarship Program (PBP) for indigenous and quilombola students enrolled in on-site undergraduate courses offered by federal higher education institutions.
The initiative foresees the granting of scholarships in the amount of R$ 900. Payment of approved requests is made monthly by the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE) for the stay of these students in these institutions to minimize social, ethnic-racial inequalities and contribute to their permanence and diplomas for students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, especially indigenous people and quilombolas.
Entries must be made on the Management System page of the Permanence Scholarship (SISBP), in the site Ministry of Education (MEC).
The distribution of vacancies considers the “number of students enrolled and the number of students enrolled in the program” by federal institutions of higher education at the end of the previous year.
According to the MEC, the analysis of the documentation proving the student’s eligibility and the approval of the registration in the SISBP must be carried out by the federal institutions of higher education from today until March 31.
