The National Assembly declared open the nomination period for the election of the positions of Comptroller General and Deputy Comptroller General of the Republic, based on Resolution No. 33 of August 5, 2024, approved by the Plenary of the National Assembly.
The period for receiving these documents will be from Friday the ninth (9) of August until Wednesday the fourteenth (14) of August 2024, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Within four (4) business days following Thursday, August 8, 2024, citizens interested in occupying the positions of Comptroller General and Deputy Comptroller General of the Republic must appear at the General Secretariat of the National Assembly, located in the Justo Arosemena Palace, Plaza Cinco de Mayo, Panama City, to present documentary evidence that demonstrates compliance with the necessary requirements to aspire to the position, which are established in article 279 of the Political Constitution.
For such purposes, the interested party must present the following documents:
- CV;
- Birth certificate, original;
- Personal background information certificate; and
- Certified copy of the university degree.
