The initiative was announced by Congresswoman Sigrid Bazán. The president of the Board of Directors, Eduardo Salhuana, confirmed the decision of the Legislature, although he described it as “questionable.”
Congresswoman Sigrid Bazán announced that the Popular Democratic Bloc has filed an appeal against the Congress resolution granting a lifetime pension to Alberto Fujimori.
Through his social media, Bazán Narro questioned the parliament’s decision for violating the Constitution.
“We reject the pension for the former dictator. That is why we are submitting to Congress an appeal to NULLIFY the resolution that grants a life pension to the man convicted of corruption and homicide: Alberto Fujimori Fujimori,” wrote the congresswoman.
