The spokesman for the Alianza para el Progreso (APP) caucus, Eduardo Salhuanaspoke about the motion of censure that was presented last Tuesday against the Minister of Health, Hernan Condori, for the questions that fall on him. In this sense, the legislator announced that his parliamentary group would support this initiative of political control.
“Alliance for Progress decided to support this motion of censure. 8 parliamentarians have signed, and it has not been possible to collect more signatures because they are in the province for representation issues, but in the censorship we are going to support”, he pointed out in dialogue with Canal N.
In the same way, he referred to the benches of Popular Force, Democratic Peru and Free Peruwhich decided not to stamp their signature on the motion to remove Condori Machado from his post.
“We are surprised by this decision, but we respect his point of view and logically we are sure that at the time of the debate and the corresponding vote these benches will vote for censorship, understanding that there is a majority position in public opinion that Minister Condori must be removed from office”, said the spokesman for the Alliance for Progress.
Likewise, Salhuana was confident that they would have enough votes to censure the head of the Ministry of Health, since he said that in the debate the support of People’s Force and the rest of the parliamentarians of Popular Renewal, Alliance for Progress and Popular Action.
“We think so (we have the votes for censure). More than 30 signatures have been obtained, numerically speaking there would be the possibility of an additional 35 or 40 signatures from Fuerza Popular, Popular Renovation, some congressmen from APP and Acción Popular”, he indicated.
They present a motion of censure against Condori
Last Tuesday, the motion of censure against the head of the Ministry of Health was presented with the signatures of the groups of Avanza País, Popular Renewal, Popular Action, Together for Peru, Alliance for Progress, We are Peru, Popular Action, in addition to ungrouped parliamentarians, such as Carlos Anderson, Enrique Wong, Susel Paredes, Flor Pablo and Edward Málaga.
In the initiative against the member of the ministerial cabinet, it is detailed that he lacks suitability to occupy the position, since he recalls that a few days before his appointment he promoted the Cluster X2 product, which does not have proven medicinal properties.
