The spokesman for the caucus Alliance for Progress (APP)Eduardo Salhuana, affirmed that the statements given by the lobbyist Karelim López in an interview with El Comercio ratify what she previously said in the Oversight Commission and would determine that criminal situations exist in the Government Palace and in the environment of President Pedro Castillo.
“Mrs. López’s statements ratify that Situations bordering on criminality are happening in the Government Palace and around the president”, he stated in dialogue with RPP.
In this sense, Salhuana was emphatic that the Prosecutor’s Office initiate an investigation against the head of state and said he hoped that the head of this institution, Pablo Sánchez, could do so.

“This reaffirms our position that the Prosecutor’s Office should investigate not only the presidential entourage, but also the president, and we hope that the National Prosecutor who replaces Zoraida Ávalos changes that position and does not wait until 2026. to investigate the president”, he indicated.
This, after López Arredondo affirmed for El Comercio that the former Secretary General of the Government Palace Bruno Pacheco would be under the protection of the Government at this time he remains a fugitive and is being investigated for the Puente Tarata III case.
Therefore, he asserted that if Pacheco spoke about what happened when he assumed said position in the Executive, the president, together with all the Executive officials, would not remain in power for another day.
