Luis Rodríguez’s management at the head of the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) has achieved benefits of more than 800 million pesos.
This was reported yesterday by the head of the institution, during the celebration of a mass for the 54th anniversary of the founding of that state agency, held in the Primate Cathedral of America.
He highlighted that 16 tourist and fishing docks have been built throughout the country, two cruise terminals and the financial rescue of the entity.
“Our commitment is to continue doing well and transforming Apordom, to meet the goal and for the Dominican Republic to be the logistics and cruise hub of the entire Caribbean,” he said at the mass officiated by the metropolitan archbishop of Santo Domingo, Monsignor Francisco Ozoria. .
He noted that it has been a team effort developed in favor of the greatest interests of the institution and celebrated with outstanding grades.
He said that the achievements and advances promoted by the current administration boost the port sector in the country.
He considered that the achievements have been due to the guidelines of President Luis Abinader, whom he thanked for the support he has offered.
At the conclusion of the homily, a floral offering was placed at the Altar of the Homeland.
Apordom’s role is to direct and manage seaports and increase the country’s international trade.
