“We have a very important mission that involves generating projects adjacent to the electricity business, mainly those related to water and batteries,” he assured.
The businessman highlighted that Conelsur has been in the Peruvian market for 8 years: “Our business is focused on the transmission of electrical energy, developing projects and operating assets that are already being installed.”
“When we entered we acquired transmission lines from the then Enel Perú, then we have acquired transmission assets from mining companies; today we are developing a solution project for a mining company, a project with a very important challenge because it is in the high mountains, around of 4,800 meters high,” he explained.
Likewise, Arratia highlighted that the company has “1,000 kilometers of power line that passes through around 20 substations.” “We are building this transmission line for a mining company and we are evaluating new projects that we hope we can complete starting in 2025,” he said.
“We are constantly monitoring the market, both for the public or regulated sector, which are those bidding processes. (…) In the private business we are monitoring possible commercial agreements with companies, either to develop their transmission solution or to buy their transmission assets and provide excellent service,” he noted.
