The Departmental Association of Paddle Tennis of Santa Cruz (ADP Santa Cruz) has announced that it will begin the carding process for padel players starting in September 2024. This program is a crucial step to formalize and organize the sport in the city, providing players with an official registry that identifies them and integrates them into the ADP classification system.
The carding will allow players to receive an official card as members of the ADP Santa Cruz and will be the basis for the first departmental ranking. This ranking will classify players in different categories according to their level, facilitating the organization of tournaments and the identification of talents for national and international competitions.
Tournament Dates
To promote competitiveness, they have been scheduled two official tournaments of the departmental ranking in November and December of this year, open to all licensed players:
– First Tournament: November 1-3, 2024
– Second Tournament: November 30 to December 1, 2024
Both events will take place in clubs affiliated with the ADP Santa Cruz, ensuring quality facilities and a competitive environment. Details on venues and regulations will be announced shortly.
Carding process
Interested players can register with affiliated clubs since September 1st. The process will include identity verification and delivery of a card valid for one year. More information on costs and benefits will be available on the ADP Santa Cruz website and at affiliated clubs.
The start of the carding and the tournaments reflect the commitment of the ADP Santa Cruz to professionalize padel and provide meaningful opportunities for players to improve their performance in an organized environment.
