After various complaints filed by inhabitants of the Sifontes municipality and with the execution of a security operation by the Bolivarian National Police, Zhyara González arrest was achieved (42), in Puerto Ordaz, for usurpation of public office.
González passed as mayor in La Guyana Esequiba, was apprehended in the Caroní municipality, when he was about to carry out an encounter with one of his victims, who would provide supposed contracts for public works of social interest as well as participation in mining activities in exchange for a prior payment payment.
According to the official part of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Guayana Esequiba, González was placed at the order of the Public Ministry, where it will be presented under the crime of usurpation of public functions.
Although the number of victims affected by the detainee is unknown, it is presumed to exceed the dozen. It should be noted that in the Guayana Esquiba, there is no mayor or councilors.
