The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) banned the sale of cannabis-based products from the companies Hemp Vegan and Cannafy. The company De Volta das Raízes, which sells products made with mushrooms, was also subject to inspection by Anvisa.
The Resolution 3,987/2025with the list of vetoed items, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union, last Thursday (10).
According to Anvisa, Hemp Vegan products are not registered or authorized by the agency and are “manufactured by an unknown company”. The determined ban applies to all batches of the brand’s cannabis-derived products:
– Products with Phytocannabinoids (CBG, CBG, CBDA)
– Topical CBD Balms
– CBD drops Vegan Fullspectrum
– CBD Fullspectrum Gummies
– CBD Paste Fullspectrum Vegan
– CBD + CBG Drops – Hemp Vegan Brand
– CBD + CBDA Fullspectrum
– Muscle Patches – 50 mg CBD
Agência Brasil contacted Hemp Vegan, but did not receive a response. The space remains open for company demonstrations.
Cannafy
Another company targeted by the inspection was Cannafy Serviços de Internet, which sells products that are not registered or authorized by Anvisa, manufactured by a company that also does not have authorization to operate at the agency.
All batches of the following products are prohibited:
– Products from cannabis from the brand CBDM Gummy
– Products from cannabis by Canna River Brand
– Products from cannabis by Brand Rare Cannabinoid
On the Cannafy website, the company stated that it does not manufacture or sell health products. cannabis in Brazil and which strictly complies with all Brazilian legislation applicable to these products. “We only facilitate contact between Brazilian patients and foreign suppliers, and we work to ensure that all imports have been previously authorized by Anvisa, as provided for in Anvisa RDC Resolution No. 660/2022”, says the note.

Finally, the health agency prohibited the sale of all batches of products made with mushrooms from De Volta aos Raízes, “without registration, notification or registration with Anvisa” and manufactured by a company that does not have authorization to manufacture medicines.
The products are as follows:
– Tremella Mushroom
– Reish Mushroom
– Cordyceps Militaris
– Sun Mushroom
– Lion’s Mane Mushroom
– Chaga Mushroom
– Turkey Tail Mushroom
On its website, the company explains that mushrooms are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, “but they do not qualify as medicines, therefore, they are exempt from registration with the Ministry of Health in accordance with Resolution No. 240/2018”.
