Anubis Osorio, 21 years old, was selected by a jury on the night of this Tuesday, January 31, as the queen of the Carnival of Panama 2023.
The new queen of the capital city’s carnival will be accompanied during the four days of festivities by Cristal Fábrega, first princess, and María Syres, second princess.
It corresponded to Julia Marina López Leong, queen of the carnival of the capital city of 2020, to place the sash to her successor and together with Solaris Barba, Miss Universe Panama 2022, the sash to the two princesses, amid the joy of those present.
Anubis expressed that she is physically and mentally prepared to wear the crown of the most anticipated party of Panamanians and together with her princesses she promised that there will be four days of great fun, on Cinta Costera 1, where there will be presentations by national artists on stage, culecos , comparsas and parades of floats.
The qualifying jury was made up of Solaris Barba, Miss Universe Panama 2022; the general secretary of the Tourism Authority of Panama, Magda Durán; Berly Castillo, manager of Chass Panama and director of Miss Grand Panama; Carlos Alberto Carrillo Sisa, manager of communications and corporate brand of the National Brewery; and Samuel Eliud De León R. international sales manager of Hoteles Faranda Panama
The contest that began with the registration of 58 young people and the preselection of 15 of them, was organized by the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) in coordination with the Carnival Commission.
The official launch of the Panama Carnival 2023 will be held soon at a press conference and the new queen of this party and her two princesses will be presented to the Panamanian population.
In addition, during the conference, the organizers of this activity will offer all the details of this carnival, which will take place after two years of banning massive outdoor events, due to the global respiratory pandemic caused by Covid-19.
