The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, will visit Mexico in September to continue the High-Level Economic Dialogue (DEAN).
The DEAN, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) on the Mexican side and by the State Department on the US side, was created in 2013 and relaunched last September by the administrations of Presidents Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Joe Biden. .
Blinken is invited to participate between September 11 and 12 in a new DEAN session, but it has not been confirmed whether he will meet with President López Obrador, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard reported yesterday in a meeting with the media.
There we are going to inform both delegations, because that is how we agreed, what progress we have made. Several strategic sectors were identified, such as semiconductors, electromobility and medical equipment
noted the chancellor.
He added that the DEAN session will present the advances in investment and define the steps to follow in the commercial relationship between Mexico and the United States.
