The story
The history of aviation in Nariño began in 1921, when the Italian pilot Ferrucio Guicciardi made the first flights in the region. However, it was decades later, under the initiative of local leaders, which consolidated the idea of building a modern airport. The inauguration of the Antonio Nariño airport in 1979 marked a before and after in the connectivity of the department, facilitating the transport of passengers and loading to different destinations of the country.
