Antonio Ledezma: “Maduro has a sign on his chest that qualifies him as a terrorist”

The former metropolitan mayor of Caracas Antonio Ledezma spoke about the pressures facing the government Nicolas Maduro and his allies.

He stressed that Maduro is designated by the United States as the leader of a narcoterrorist organization. He also recalled that the regime also faces internal pressures.

“In the elections of July 28, 2024 The military voted and in all the voting stations where they exercised their right to vote, the formula of Edmundo González and María Corina Machado won. with more than 70%. “We are talking about a military establishment that is part of the Venezuelan families that also accuse this narco-dictatorship (…) therefore, what Maduro has left as a support stick is the corrupt military elite,” he stated.

He warned: “Maduro has a sign on his chest that qualifies him as a terrorist. At the same time he is offering twice as much for his capture as was offered for the arrest of the most dangerous terrorist in the world, who became Osama Bin Laden.”

Antonio Ledezma talks about politics in Venezuela

During an interview offered to the Razón de Estado program, broadcast by NTN24, the Venezuelan politician mentioned the offers made by the opposition.

He stressed that Maria Corina Machado and Edmundo González “they are offering a peaceful and inclusive transition” in Venezuela.

“With the arrival of Edmundo González and María Corina Machado to a transitional government, chaos will begin to be left behind. Chaos itself exists with Maduro, As long as Maduro occupies public powers, there will be no freedom and if there is no freedom, there is no peace in Venezuela”, he stated.

Furthermore, he considered that it is “inconceivable” that a political transition would occur that is not led by Machado and González.

“If Maduro wants to hand over power, recognizing the defeat he inflicted on the people of Venezuela, he has to do so. That does not imply impunity, because there will be no peace in Venezuela either and if there is no justice,” he indicated.
