Every day we give ourselves realize, sometimes not, how much we have to learn. Unions, non-governmental organizations, associations in favor of world and local peace, ceasefire movements in many places and groups that citizens form to confront aggression of all kinds, such as those launched by the president-elect of the United States and his friend Elon Musk; They keep us alert and stimulate the search for better weapons for citizen defense.
Apparently, these two millionaires, self-positioned as a divine financial caste, love to scare people; That gives them power. Although if we analyze the situation in the case of the increase in tariffs on Mexican products, this direct threat is unlikely to be carried out.
Evil people are everywhere and citizens have learned to close ranks to avoid being attacked. For example, progressive social networks have multiplied to report on issues that are silenced by private television companies.
They have managed to deny in a short time, for example, the atrocities broadcast by national television stations against the National Guard, the Army and, also, the Navy. And in most cases reason and truth have won. An example of this is the triumph of the recent judicial law, decreed by the manifest need during six-year periods, which required a total renewal in the structure of the Judiciary. For years it was not known what happened to prompt and expeditious justice.
It is not only changing or modifying laws at the whim of citizens, as the benches have described it Mcprianistsbut it is a right achieved with great efforts of the population against those old crooked practices that the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) has carried out by applying the laws according to their convenience.
During previous six-year terms, the SCJN has favored the highest bidder. The injustices committed by judicial personnel, at all levels, turned the Supreme Court into a questionable power and without professional confidence when judging and handing down sentences. The juries of the Holy Inquisition and the Supreme Court competed in the number of injustices and absurdities carried out against that very important principle of prompt and expeditious justice. Although we can still assert that the Inquisition beat them in the speed to condemn unjustly.
What can we expect from the current SCJN when it comes to defending economic, energy, industrial and especially scientific sovereignty in the face of the attacks of the Trump-Musk millionaires, who see us as more mortal than themselves?
The T-MEC has emerged as a target shooting range or a minefield for Mexico, where the enormous US and Canadian interests are rubbing their hands together to give the first blow to our participation. However, we trust in the strategy carried out first by former President López Obrador and currently by President Claudia Sheinbaum. So far, the policy carried out to fulfill this commitment and obtain the greatest benefits for our country from this treaty has been clear.
On the other hand, with the advancement of the country’s technology, the support for growing sovereignty, promising goals are emerging that, sooner or later, will help consolidate us as an advanced, informed and participatory society in government decisions.
We are referring to the technological project that will show Sheinbaum’s government as one of greater accessibility, transparency and efficiency in all its aspects. The procedures, almost any type, will have results with less management time for all the people who need it. Sheinbaum and Pepe Merino demonstrate that digitalization is the most important means of information to date, as well as a powerful method that will close gaps and bring citizens closer to the government.
The digitalization of common life will be a means to combat corruption. Those who commit crimes will have less chance of making a living from illicit behavior. Although mafias somehow find ways to break the laws, digitalization has algorithms and formulas that are real locks for people who live off antisocial vices.
Very soon, the General Law of Simplification and Digitalization will be an obstacle to bureaucracy and extortion. Although we doubt that the aforementioned millionaires know about respect for ethics and technological sovereignty, they will have to respect, no matter what, all the commitments that make up the T-MEC.
They will also have to accept the independence and sovereignty of Sheinbaum’s government, who will show them that, even with the enormous monetary differences, the US president and the Mexican president are at the same level: they preside over a government and are supported by the majority of votes.
