Antonio Ecarri, president of the Alianza Lápiz political party and candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, demanded this Monday, April 10, that the attorney general appointed by the extinct constituent, Tarek William Saab, and the president Nicolás Maduro indicate the amount to which the embezzlement amounts to the State for the recently discovered corruption schemes in several public companies.

«No one says how much money they are taking. I would like to know how much Mr. Roa (Hugbel) took. Corruption in Venezuela is a crime against humanity when we are talking about the critical situation that each and every one of Venezuelans is experiencing,” Ecarri said.

Antonio Ecarri He said that it is necessary to know how much money was embezzled from Pdvsa, what were the ships that left without an invoice, or those that were left on the high seas and what was never known about cryptocurrencies.

He assured that the Executive “seeks to trivialize” these cases, for which he asked citizens to demand that the details of the investigations that are carried out in matters of corruption be reported and proposed to create a fund with the money that is recovered to compensate teachers, doctors and retirees and pensioners who earn between 5 and 14 dollars a month.
