SANTO DOMINGO.- If he reaches the position of dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) in the June 15 elections, Antonio Ciriaco will promote a collaborative management model, binding with teaching, research and extension.
The renowned economist and deputy dean of the FCES stated that to this end he will promote links with academic units, research centers and institutes, including the faculty.
He maintains that this work proposal for the Deanship has been prepared considering the transformations of a disruptive environment, that is to say that it is constantly changing, it has important repercussions on the actions of higher education institutions and that it constitutes a challenge for the next authorities who will manage the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences.
“Going towards a collaborative management model will be the north that will mark the management of the Deanship for the period 2022-2026,” said Ciriaco, who fundamentally considers developing work based on the guidelines issued by the Board of Directors of the aforementioned Faculty.
Management approach
“The management model of the Deanship to which we aspire during the four-year period 2022-2026 will be based on collaborative work, on transcendence, on quality and academic excellence, on human treatment, but, above all, on the promotion of a model of management of the Faculty is exciting, creative and transparent so that all the sectors that make up the great family of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences feel proud”, Ciriaco argued.
He said that his actions in the Deanship will be based on the commitment and collaboration with all the academic, administrative and research units of his faculty.
He stated that this is the only way to make a serious project a reality that allows them to vindicate the global and individual interests of the educational community before all the competent bodies.
In terms of teaching, it aspires to develop a new offer with an emphasis on new careers in the degree in the different areas of institutional knowledge, in addition to strengthening the curricular management policy, the development of programs by competence that are carried out in the different areas of the institutional knowledge.
