The World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum that will be held in Caracas on November 4 and 5 will have the participation of more than 300 legislators from 70 countries to debate how different peoples of the world have fought against the forms of domination and aggression that are manifested in the present through colonialism, neocolonialism, fascism and extermination, according to AVN.
Among the topics that will be addressed are Parliamentary democracy of peace, Relationship between imperialism, fascism and Zionism, Blockades and coercive measures imposed on several countries, Defense of human rights, Legislation against fascism, neo-fascism and similar expressions, Social networks, new technologies and cognitive war against people among others.
This forum, in which Venezuela is the host, seeks to explain from different voices what are the generating causes of the resurgence of fascism in the 21st century, considering that our country has resisted and faced attempts at destabilization and aggression by extreme right-wing forces, including the creation of violent groups and support for terrorist actions.
The event will begin this Monday, at the Parque Bolívar Convention Center, La Carlota, with the opening speech of the parliamentary authorities of Venezuela. Seven rooms will then be opened where legislators will debate the issues and respective action plans against fascism in the world.
At 2:00 in the afternoon, there will be the meeting of the parliamentarians of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (Alba-TCP) and at 5:00 in the afternoon there will be an Anti-Fascist Tribune with speakers from Russia, South Africa and Venezuela. Subsequently, there will be a Cultural Route in the Historic Center of Caracas, at 7:00 at night.
At the same time, on the day there will be meetings of anti-fascist street parliamentarism with university students, from the Bolivarian Military Academy, the working class and popular power.
In the spaces of the Convention Center there will be exhibition stands from the National Assembly, Marca País, International University of Communications, ALBA-TCP, alternative and community media, Hugo Chávez Institute, Librerías del Sur, Filven, Red de Arte, Gran Young Venezuela Mission and Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism, for interviews, exchange of knowledge, gastronomy and cultural activities.
Tuesday will begin with outstanding presentations by representatives of Cuba, Lebanon, Western Europe, Africa and Venezuela and the debates of the parliamentarians will continue and then at 2:00 in the afternoon a plenary session will be held with the conclusions. The closing of the event will be at 5:00 in the afternoon with a Recreational Route in the San Agustín parish of Caracas.
Venezuela is today the focus of the fight against fascism after overcoming the attacks and threats of the extreme right and its violent and repressive reaction to the advances of the revolutionary process and the decline of the unipolar hegemony of imperialism.
