Blanca Eekhout, deputy of the National Assembly (AN), reported that the Antifascist Parliamentary Network of Latin America and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) will meet next January.
The parliamentarians of this network held a videoconference this Tuesday where they reflected on the Amphictyonic Congress of Panama and the 20th anniversary of the creation of ALBA.
About fascism, Eekhout told his companions, from the Shields room of the Federal Legislative Palace, that the international extreme right intends to bring the world to a level of slavery, oppression and dictatorship, quotes a press release.
He highlighted that the deputies maintain a firm stance in the fight against fascism, which seeks to impose neoliberal democracy and destroy the dream of Bolívar and Chávez’s Great Homeland.
He expressed that Martí’s thought is in line with the Cuban and Venezuelan people, since both are victims of unilateral, coercive and illegal criminal actions.
Battle of Ayacucho
On the other hand, the activity also commemorated the 200 years of the victory of the Battle of Ayacucho, where the Grand Marshal, Antonio José de Sucre, was remembered, by instructions of the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez and the board of directors.
He recalled that definitive freedom was achieved thanks to the defeat of the Spanish empire, removing them forever from America, due to the resistance of 190 years of struggle of the native peoples.
