The International Antifascist Youth Congress will be held in Caracas from November 22 to 24 and will have more than 500 guests from 70 countries.
The information was provided by parliamentarian Mario Castillo, who indicated that, to date, 300 guests have arrived in the country to participate in the event that will be held at the Convention Center of the Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base, where seven tables will have a topic to debate.
In this regard, he explained that among the topics to be addressed are “gender and women, the forms of struggle of student movements, workers’ rights, among others.”
Active 70 countries
Castillo assured that some 70 countries were summoned to the congress, where young parliamentarians and party presidents are expected to attend.
The deputy explained that the start of the event will have, previously, on November 21, with a march in commemoration of Student’s Day, because “we want this congress to start on the 21st, celebrating Student’s Day in our country, through a march in Caracas, and from the 22nd to the 24th it will be with international characteristics.”
Finally, he declared that Venezuela is protesting against expressions of hate.
“We declare ourselves in protest, raising the flags of struggle of solidarity of the people, based on the diversity of opinions,” he stated.
