This Friday, the Ministry of Health, together with other institutions, carried out an operation against dengue in the Koskuna sector of the Veracruz district.
During the operation, a clean-up day was carried out with the collection of scrap metal, inspections to verify and eliminate breeding sites, search for cases and fogging.
Onelys Cedeño, regional deputy director, called on the population to eliminate all breeding sites, cover the containers where they collect water and dispose of garbage in appropriate places.
In statistical data, he mentioned that there are 436 confirmed cases of dengue in Veracruz and 5,467 accumulated cases and 6 deaths in the Metropolitan region.
The inter-institutional operation was attended by officials from the Arraiján Mayor’s Office, staff from the Veracruz Communal Board, volunteers from the Panamanian Red Cross, and organized groups from Veracruz.
