Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office requests the initiation of proceedings for the discovery of canned mushrooms from Qali Warma

Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requests the initiation of proceedings for the discovery of canned mushrooms from Qali Warma

The Public Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Corruption Crimes requested this Monday, November 18, to begin preliminary proceedings after the discovery of canned chicken with mushrooms from the Qali Warma program.

This is due to the report by Cuarto Poder where they report that canned chicken from the “DelSol” brand was found with mushrooms, delivered by the Qali Warma program.

In this way, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office requested the verification and seizure of the cans; together with the prosecutor’s office, Educational Institution No. 432-116 Acuchimay, at the initial level of the Carmen Alto District, was established.

Finally, they assure that they reiterate “their commitment to the defense of the rights and interests of the State in every public instance in which it is competent.”

Qali Warma: They reveal that they not only delivered horse meat but preserved food in poor condition

A witness revealed that not only horse meat was delivered, Qali Warma also distributed to low-income children cans of chicken, sweetbreads and other canned goods from the “Don Simón” brand that were in poor sanitary conditions.

According to the Sunday newspaper “Cuarto Poder”, an official document states that Qali Warma warned 20 regions not to distribute the ‘Don Simón’ preserves, but they continued to circulate in schools and win contracts and addendums.

The program reported that so far in 2024, the company Frigoinca, which produces canned chicken, meat and pork under the ‘Don Simón’ brand, achieved nearly 100 million soles in contracts and addendums in the regions of Áncash, Ayacucho, Ica and Madre de Dios, in consortium with other companies in the sector.

“Cuarto Poder” stressed that the prosperity for said company came when Dina Boluarte was Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, and Julio Demartini was Vice Minister. Furthermore, at that time the director of Qali Warma was the now presidential spokesperson, Fredy Hinojosa, although the latter denies any connection.

Testimony

Noemí Alvarado, a former employee of the company Frigoinca, owned by Nilo Burga, which produces the ‘Don Simón’ brand, revealed to said journalistic program more details of how the businessman would have played with the health of hundreds of students of the Qali Warma program, delivering non-profit food. for human consumption.

The former worker indicated that chicken meat and giblets with rodent feces would have been found inside the cans of canned food.

“Mrs. Ruth, from the secondary school level, called me; He mentions that in a canned chicken, while they were cooking, they found something black, similar to feces, possibly a rat, stuck there. He also commented that some parents took these preserves to their homes,” he said.

Furthermore, these preserves did not meet the regulatory weight of the contents of the cans either. The former Frigoinca worker has evidence.

“When there was a product that said no release, no distribution, no consumption, they sent for that product to be picked up, they took it to Pacanga. They erased the date and coded it again and made another batch,” he said.

The Sunday newspaper reported on an official document that shows that since last May 3, Qali Warma already knew that the Don Simón brand had products in poor condition. The memorandum was distributed to the heads of the territorial units of Áncash, Apurímac, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Metropolitan Lima, Lima Provinces, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua , Pasco, Piura, Puno, San Martín, Tacna, Amazonas, Tumbes and Ucayali.

However, ‘Don Simón’ continued to circulate through the country’s schools and obtain million-dollar contracts in the State.

According to Noemí Alvarado, Nilo Burga – owner of the Frigoinca company – gave the orders and his son, Michael Burga Farro, was second in command. “Michael was my direct boss; He just followed his dad’s instructions. Sometimes I argued with him and told him: no, there may be children who get poisoned or who don’t like him. But his father responded: what does it matter to you? Is he your son?” he said.
